Plano B não é um filme perfeito sobre esse tema como é um dos meus preferidos de 2020 Nunca, Raramente, Às Vezes, Sempre.
Mas Plano B é uma comédia quase perfeita, sutil mas muito bem escrita e o melhor, bem dirigida e com uma dupla principal de deixar de queixo caído.
As atrizes Victoria Moroles e Kuhoo Verma foram com certeza escolhidas a dedo para serem Lupe, a latina alternativa e Sunny, a hindu virgem.
Veja bem: nos EUA e na Europa, eles não te consideram “puramente”americana, mesmo nascendo lá, se você é de família que veio de outro país.
Obviamente que as meninas sabem de seu lugar como americanas e se orgulham de suas raizes, que são importantes nessa comédia road movie de conhecimento e de crescimento.
O par não vai sair o mesmo depois de viajarem para a tentativa de interrupção de gravidez primeiro porque Sunny não pretende ter um filho dessa forma e segundo porque ela tem certeza que a mãe super protetora, mãezona mesmo, vai matá-la.
Lupe é uma das personagens mais importantes dos últimos anos como melhor amiga.
Plano B tem altos e baixos, mas tem detalhes muito importantes como cinema e melhor ainda, como cinema novo sendo feito fora de Hollywood com as melhores lições do indie americano.
Eu fico completamente impressionado como eu venho mordendo minha língua, ou meus dedos, ao escrever tanto ultimamente que essa comédia nova americana adolescente, principalmente a estrelada por atrizes e com personagens femininas, tem produzido tanto filme interessante, inteligente e muito bem feito.
Certeza que muito disso é também pelas diretoras que tem estado por trás dessas obras, como neste caso a talentosa Natalie Morales.
